The pumps used in lawn irrigation systems come in three types called the surface centrifugal pump, the jet pump, and the submersible centrifugal pump. To determine which pump is most appropriate, factors to be considered are the source of the irrigation system water, the rate of the water flow and the operating pressure needed by the system. The well pumps are connected by pipes to the lawn sprinklers.
